Envisaged as a ‘city-within-a-city’, the KLGT comprises 3 iconic precincts - KLCC Precinct, TRX Precinct, and Merdeka 118 Precinct, integrated via the new MRT Lines. Three Iconic Precincts, One Global City
Designed to be a city within a city, the 100-acre site hosts the tallest twin buildings in the world, the fourth tallest hotel in the world, an international shopping mall, over 350 food and entertainment outlets, office buildings and several hotels. A 50-acre public park, a mosque, two train stations, and a 1.2 km covered pedestrian link bridge, have also been built in the area.
KLCC Precinct
The Tun Razak Exchange is a 70-acre development in the heart of KL for international finance and business. The master plan includes a total of 26 buildings and over 21 million sqft of Gross Floor Area (GFA) spread across the office, residential, hotel, retail, F&B and cultural offerings. TRX's landmark building is The Exchange 106, currently the third tallest skyscraper in Malaysia.
TRX Precinct
At 678.9 m (2,227 ft) tall, the Merdeka 118 is the second-tallest building and structure in the world, only behind the Burj Khalifa at 828 m (2,717 ft). The whole precinct is a 19 acres (7.7 ha) land funded by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), with a budget of RM5 billion. It was constructed in three phases and consists of 400,000 square metres of residential, hotel and commercial space.
